Gather together sample images or shoot some samples

If you're new to the family portrait business, you've got to get some samples. Offer to shoot a few free sessions with family or people you know. It's time to get a few poster's designed and printed that can be hung in shops you partner with. Also print 4x6 promo cards that can be handed out or left in shops. Make sure you have your social media ads designed and ready to go.

Start Summer Family Photo Promotion

Let's launch our social media campaign by posting to our Facebook page and LinkedIN. For FaceBook, I'd pay to boost the post to my friends that like my page and friends of friends that like my page. Distribute posters and cards to retailers. Send bulk email campaign to your list of previous customers.  

Create new sample images for baby promo

As this contest is a bit different, maybe create some really awesome newborn shots that will really tug at the heartstrings of a new mom. Offer to do a few free shoots if you're new at this in exchange for model release, or gather some of your newest work that you have permission to use.
