Shooting Boudoir Photography like a Centerfold
Boudoir photography continues to be a hot business for professional photographers. But most of the time we still have to do something a bit different to separate us from the competition.
So we've taken a page out of the centerfold photographers playbook and adapted some of their lighting techniques and applied them to Boudoir photography.
Centerfold photographers have long learned that lighting is the key to great photography. So much so, that some of their lighting setups are almost unbelievably complex and hard for the average studio to accomplish.
But we've taken the principals of centerfold photography and used them in a way that the average portrait studio can reproduce themselves with just a few lights and gels.
Here's the Recipe.
- One Boudoir Customer
- 5-6 lights with small (7") reflectors
- 3-4 10° honeycomb grids
- 1 - 3° honeycomb grid
- 1/4 and 1/2 CTO Gels
- Blue gels (or another color of your choice)
