I’ve had a lot of studios in my life, but for the first time I have one that has a set of patio doors and some really excellent light. I’m loving it.

I’m interested to know how many of you have the same.

No, I would love to learn how to mimic natural light in a small space since that’s the common situation most photographers face :-).

The more I use available light in the studio the more I love it. I just did a Maternity session with mixed available light and studio light.

Check out this example. Available light is coming in thru the window on our left (her right) and a studio light from the other side. You can see the different color of the light.

In times gone by this would bother me but not any more. In fact I prefer it. It seems more like real life. I’ve always said that studio light is simply mimicking what we find in nature.
