PSH Photographer Certification is a program designed to help new photographers succeed in the business of photography in the digital era.
As wedding and portrait photographers, we find ourselves on the cusp of new techniques, styles and technologies. The world of the professional photographer has been hit with a perfect storm of new influences. For those of us who've lived through the change we find ourselves wondering about the more traditional aspects of pro- photography and how classic information fits into today's market and technology.
We sometimes find ourselves having to "un-learn" principals we have adhered to for years or even decades, or at least alter them to fit into a changing photographic landscape.
For those of us new to professional photography, we find ourselves wondering about how much we have to learn. Many feel their god-given talents and a good camera are enough to rock the world. Why bother with education, the camera knows enough.
Well the truth is somewhere in between. The principles of photography still apply today as much as ever. The lighting changes, the technology changes, the darkroom changes, but the foundations are as important today as ever.
Our task with PSH Photographer Certification, is to sort through the myriad of photo related education, and find only the items that fit into a modern, digital, profitable, photographic world and to prepare us to succeed in that world.

Once you have completed the exam, you may do your images submissions. Here are the details:
- 20 images from 20 different assignments in the last 2 years
- No two images of the same subject or person
- Should be from client work no self assignment whenever possible (We understand the newcomers may not have clients yet)
- Should be representative of the work you do or plan to do. i.e. weddings, seniors, babies etc. etc.
- Digital images to be submitted 4x6 @300dpi
